Part Two

As promised I am back with part two of the Unclutter Your Brand Series. Are you excited? I know I am. Spring is my favorite time of the year. After all, I am a spring baby. Not only is the weather beautiful here in California, but I get to gear up for a little spring cleaning. Each year I like to take 40 days to recalibrate, refocus, recharge, and this year is no different. Taking time to clean up the mess in your brand will prove to create an easily recognizable and identifiable brand identity system. Last week I talked about how to unclutter your brand with your social media platforms. You can read part one here.

This week I want to share how you can Unclutter Your Brand & business with your offerings. Offerings? It is those services or products that you prepare for your target audience. Here are two quick ways to unclutter your offerings:

1. Remove What Doesn’t Work
The idea is to run your hands through your brand & business to see what is working and what is not working. If there is a particular service or item that is not selling, simply put, get rid of it. As entrepreneurs, we tend to be overzealous in our business endeavors. We want to sell everything to everyone. Unfortunately, that will lead you down the road towards failure. You do not have to be a one-stop-shop. Only offer what you do best. It is always a good idea to focus on a shorter list of products and services and build a message around it, which will provide clarity and prevent your tribe from getting confused.

2. Repackage & Repurpose
There is always an exception to these spring cleaning rules. A little branding-elbow grease may be just enough to prevent you from completely removing a product or service. The smartest thing any entrepreneur can do is repackage an already existing service that is not converting into results. Take that service you already offer and either put a differing spin on it or change the format to create a new buzz around this service. For example:

– Turn your blogs into Vlogs
– Turn your Vlogs into Ebook
– Turn your Ebooks into Webinars
– Turn your Webinars into a Conference

If you implement these two action items you will get back to the foundation of your core competency. That competency will result in clarity and solid growth in your business.
